Precedents
I really liked this code because of the elegance. The way the specks of light only grow when the curser traces them. The like the way the speaks magnet to the curser but it also gets momentum and flicks around tracking the mouse.
It held my attention for a long time and didn't get boarding to me.

I find this code very entertianing and find myself play on it for long periods of time with out realising it. I find it captivating even though it just simulates a curtian.

I really like the composition of this picture. the colours relate nicely on to the background.

Development - Colour
For my set of patterns I want to have a one colour through out so that they relate to one another more.some patterns my have slight variations or exceptions but the majority of the patterns will stay one colour. I think green is to bright and obscures the pattern a little. This wouldn't be a very good colour for my patterns. I think blue is the preferred colour over red, although both colours are aesthetically appealing the blue creates a nicer atmosphere.
Trail patterns and Experiments
This is the very first pattern I made on processing. I tried to experiment with variables to get my head round the concept of variables. I tried to get use to using fill with different colours and used a series of ellipses to create a scale effect.
Ben Jack's tutorial - Ben Jack show us coding from scratch through to variables ,loops and ifs.
This made coding easier because the pattern could be changed drastically just by changing a few numbers in the code.
